Martin Loves America

Chicago Tribute Band, fireworks, and ‘Merica – sounds like the perfect Fourth of July to us!

Join the City of Martin as we celebrate the 4th of July with the BIGGEST BANG in Northwest TN at our 2nd Annual Martin Loves America, Fireworks Show and Concert – featuring the Chicago tribute band – Chi Town Transit Authority. The concert will begin at 7PM and the fireworks show will happen immediately following the concert.

Festivities begin at 6:30pm at the Martin Recreation Complex with a patriotic sidewalk chalk contest and Chicago Ball Game at the MRC 4 Plex. Sign ups to play willl be at 6:30, the game(s) begin at 7pm. Chicago Ball- Style Rules:
All Rules are the same as Softball, but a social and fun event: notable differences
Games will be played with a “smush” ball; it’s larger and softer than a softball!
Players will not play with gloves! Smush balls don’t travel as fast, and are relatively soft, so they can be caught bare-handed.
NO EQUIPMENT NEEDED TO PLAY, just show up ready to have fun.

Food trucks will be vending on site starting at 6PM featuring Simply Southern BBQ by Donald Southern and Nikki Lee Concessions.

Attendees will receive flags and glow sticks while supplies last. The event itself is free.

Project 731 is printing a patriotic limited edition Martin Loves America T-Shirts and Tank Tops starting at $15. To purchase one visit their website www.project731.org. Wear your shirts to the event!

The Martin Rec Complex also offers a walking trail, pond for fishing, play grounds, and a fenced in dog park. Make plans to bring the whole family and enjoy your 4th of July holiday with us!
